Comic Translator (EN-JP and FA-JP)

Job Description

We are expanding our network of native Japanese linguists. 🌐✨

Creative Connections & Commons Inc. (CCC) is sourcing experienced, native Japanese translation professionals for upcoming high-volume localization pipelines.

Open Talent Pools:

• EN ➔ JA: Specialized media, digital entertainment, and creative localization.
• FA ➔ JA: Specialized Persian document translation under tight turnaround schedules.

Your role in the team

• Localize
  • Translate content from English/Persian into Japanese with accuracy and readability.
• Polish
  • Review and edit translations for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
  • Follow project-specific glossaries, style guides, and client instructions.
• Maintain Flow
  • Ensure translations are culturally appropriate and tailored to the target audience.
  • Maintain consistency in terminology, style, and tone across projects.
• Deliver
  • Conduct a Final Read of completed translations before submission to ensure accuracy, natural flow. consistency, and compliance with project guidelines.

Qualifications

English - Japanese Translators

• Linguistic Profile

  • Native fluency of the target language and deep familiarity with the target culture (e.g., raised, educated, or long-term residency in the target country) is stricty required.
  • For EN to JP translators, must have at least one English Proficiency certification (IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, etc.)

• Core Competencies

  • Strong grasp of cultural nuances, linguistic conventions, and communication styles in both languages.
  • Ability to adapt meaning, tone, and intent while keeping natural readability.
  • Background or strong interest in translating entertainment content life manga and anime is highly welcome!

Persian - Japanese Translators

• Linguistic Profile

  • Must be a Japanese native with proficiency in Persian (Farsi).
  • Must have at least a SAMFA, AMFA, or AZFA certification.
  • At least 1 year experience in translating Persian (Farsi) documents.

• Core Competencies

  • Strong grasp of cultural nuances, linguistic conventions, and communication styles in both languages.
  • Ability to adapt meaning, tone, and intent while keeping natural readability.
  • Background or strong interest in translating entertainment content life manga and anime is highly welcome!

• Project Terms

  • Recruitment Process: Must pass a screening translation test (No AI/Machine translation allowed).
  • Commitment: Always be available to confirm project feasibility and availability within the same day the project is received.
    • For EN to JP translators, must be able to translate at least one volume within a tight deadline of one week.
    • For FA to JP translators, must be able to translate several hundred to 10,000-20,000 words per project within tight deadlines of approximately three (3) days.
