Pencil / Line Artist

Job Overview:

Kedailida is seeking a pencil/line artist for an ongoing graphic novel project. The ideal candidate has drawing ability, is consistent, sequential story telling ability and can follow an established visual direction, communication, production readiness and is reliable. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Drafting and Line work and also creating high-quality, precise pencil drawings.
• Shading and Texturing**,** apply hatching and cross-hatching, to communicate depth and form when required.
• Interpret creative briefs, scripts, and client descriptions to develop initial rough sketches and layout concept.
• Modify line weights, clean up stray construction lines, and adjust compositions based on feedback from client.
• Prepare and organize clean line files, separated into layered formats (like .PSD or vector formats) 

Requirement: 

• Proficiency in Photoshop, clip studio paint, Adobe Illustrator, procreate and Krita
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Clean, production-ready line work
• Understanding of lightning, line weight, depth and form
• Strong Perspective and environment drawing
