Lead Comic Book Artist

Job Description
We’re looking for a lead comic book artist to visually build an original science-fiction adventure.
The Project
A science-fiction adventure about a young man who risks everything to cross the frontier and uncover what really happened to his father, a pioneering chemist and explorer who vanished years earlier on a distant planet.
Issue #1 — 37 Pages
You would be responsible for the complete visual development and artwork of the first issue, including:
- Character design for the principal cast
- World and environment design
- Architecture, clothing, technology, props, and vehicles
- Establishing the visual language
- Page layouts and thumbnails
- Sequential panel composition and storytelling
- Pencils and finished linework
- Color
- 37 finished interior pages
- Issue #1 cover artwork
Lettering can be handled separately.
Visual Direction

Compensation
This is a paid project, rates to be discussed if the applicant is chosen.
We’re particularly interested in finding an emerging artist who wants to become a meaningful creative collaborator on if Issue #1 goes well. The plan is release one issue every month.
