Manga Translator (EN/JP and DE)

Job Description

We are looking for creative minds to help us bridge the gap between EN/JP and DE, ensuring every joke, emotion, and action scene lands perfectly for our German audience.

What we’re looking for:

• Expertise: Mastery in EN-DE or JP-DE translation.
• Passion: A deep love for manga and the art of storytelling.
• Relatability: The ability to make translations feel natural and immersive, never robotic.

Qualifications:

• JLPT N2 or higher in Japanese
• Near-native speaker of the English language (American English).
• Native or near-native fluency in German with a deep understanding of slang, cultural nuances, and natural dialogue flow.
• 1-2 years of translation experience or equivalent.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, especially in fields like Translation, German/Japanese Studies, Linguistics, but not mandatory if you can demonstrate strong skills.
