German Webtoon Translation QA (신입가능)

Job Description

Tappytoon is ​a ​leading ​digital platform ​for webtoons and comics, ​bringing ​captivating stories ​to a global ​audience.

Responsibilities

• Quality-checking of ​the ​final product ​of ​the ​German translations of ​Korean ​webtoons edited by ​the ​German ​editors
• Making sure there ​is no ​spelling/grammar ​error remaining ​in the ​final ​text and correcting ​them if ​necessary
• Making sure that the punctuation rules related to the German language are perfectly respected
• Making sure that no English or Korean remains on the final text
• Correcting any awkward repetition
• Using Photoshop to work directly with files and text
• Adhering to the Tappytoon's quality and style

Basic Qualifications

• Native German speaker with a perfect knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation rules
• Person able to work full-time(5days a week, 8 hours a day)
• F series visa, German native with Korean citizenship (company does not provide visa sponsorship)
• Comfortable working on a variety of mature materials

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Photoshop Skills
• Basic IT skills(Google Suite)
• Language, Literature, Writing or related college degree or work experience
• Previous writing, translation, or editing/proofreading/QA experience in a creative field(business writing is less important to us)
• Previous experience of translating, proofreading, editing manhwa/manga/webtoons(Korean or English to German)
