Job Description

CALL FOR COLORISTS: Hyper-Detailed Graphic Novel

I’m looking for a talented colorist to take on the first 20 pages of my current graphic novel project.

The Style:

My line art is heavy, complex, and hyper-detailed (think the technical density of Geof Darrow or Seth Fisher). I need someone who can complement the "wall of lines" rather than fight against them.

What I’m looking for:

• Clarity: Someone who can use color to pull the focal points out of a dense background.
• Expertise in Flats/Rendering: I’m looking for a style that enhances the linework—whether that’s vibrant, flat-heavy pop art or subtle, textured rendering that doesn't over-model the forms.
• Collaborative Spirit: This is a passion project with high ambitions, and I want a partner who loves world-building through palette.

• Project: First 20 pages (with potential for the full book).

Test:

I will be asking the artists to do a paid sample of one panel or half-page to see how our styles mesh.
