ARTIST WANTED – NIGHTMARE ODYSSEY #1: ULYSSES
Nightmare Odyssey is a mythic noir reimagining of Homer’s classic epic. The story opens with the Trojan Horse as a stealth operation and descends into the brutal sack of Troy.
In the war crimes that follow, Ulysses cannot bear the cost of victory. Rejecting his culture's system of human sacrifice, he vows never to kill again
- frustrating men and gods alike. Cursed for his defiance, he is cast adrift on a ten-year journey home alongside Icarus, Ajax, Daedalus, and Cassandra
- fallen heroes and prophets, all haunted by Troy's collapse.
This is a 56-page debut volume in a planned 12-book creator-owned series.
Target release: mid-July (timed around the release window of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey). Production pacing will prioritize quality; the book may release as one volume or two issues depending on schedule.
What I’m looking for
- 2–3 completed comic pages per week
- An artist who connects with character and atmosphere
- A genuine long-term creative partnership
Expect dramatic character acting, mythic scale, emotionally grounded storytelling, and layered symbolic imagery.
