Job Description

I’m looking for an illustrator to collaborate on one comic: Chapter One of a sci-fi story. This chapter is visual-first (minimal to no dialogue), focused on cinematic pacing, strong acting, and clear storytelling.

Logline

In a world run by quotas and machine logic, a woman on the run slips into the system’s blind spot—where something the machines tried to erase may still be alive.

What’s ready

• Chapter One script / beat sheet is complete
• Clear page-by-page intent (so you’re not guessing what each page must communicate)
• I’m open to your visual ideas and storytelling upgrades

Tone / vibe

Clean, tense, human, and slightly surreal. “Cold tech / warm humanity.” Think big oppressive environments + intimate character moments.

Art direction (flexible)

• Strong composition and page flow
• Confident blacks / readable silhouettes
• Dynamic, non-traditional panel layouts welcome if they serve clarity
• Stylized or semi-realistic is fine — storytelling is king

What I need

• Sequential pages for Chapter One only
• Pencils/inks (or tight pencils); color optional; lettering optional
• A collaborator who communicates clearly and hits milestones
