Comic Book Artist (Manga preferred)

Overview:

Independent writer seeking artist for proof-of-concept chapter of a YA fantasy graphic novel targeting 16-25yo manga readers. Targeting end of Summer 2026 for project completion.

Deliverables: 

1. 4x Character Designs (full-body turnarounds, facial expressions, outfit details)
2. 3-5x Environment Concepts (Atmosphere, world-building)
3. 10-15x Sample Sequential Pages (fully finished, print-ready)
4. 1x Cover Mockup (Title Treatment, posed main character/s)

Design Style:

Manga/anime aesthetic influence including elements such as speed lines, impact frames, and dynamic angles. Will be action-driven with emotional range. Interested in cinematic storyboarding and experimental panels.

Ideal Candidate:

• Comic experience, manga-style preferred
• Portfolio inclusive of sequential pages
• Clear and dynamic sequences
• Fantasy world-building examples
