Manga Artist
Job Description
We're hiring a Manga Artist for our in development flagship manga "Vesper 1."
$6K per month for a 2 month trial with a high likelihood to turn into full time salary employment at $72K+ a year with sales bonus intent.
We are looking to finish our 36 page One-Shot pilot and need someone who can ink shonen manga pages akin to DaDaDan, Gachiakuta, SpyxFamily, etc. If you do not believe you are a good fit, that's fine because we are offering a $500 referral bounty if you send us someone we love and hire.
For this role, you will be working with myself as the writer, and our art director Evan Galleguillos. We will provide scripts, character designs, and everything you need to take it from storyboard to final inked pages. We believe the output would be about 3-5 pages a week and will require lettering, backgrounds and inking.
You would be a 1/3 creative partner brining this manga to life and we welcome your input and collaboration.
The intention is a self-published, serialized shonen with thematic inspiration from Attack On Titan, etc. This would be a 5-10 year project long-term if everything goes well! Yay!
This job also entails you joining us in our documentary web series, as we showcase the process of bringing it to life.
Los Angeles preferred so we can hang and shoot in person, but we are open to remote applicants joining us via zoom, etc.

Timeline
- We arrange a $500 paid 2-day skill test to qualified applicants by late February 2026
- Trial Offer extended or rejection reason provided based on the skill test around March 2026 unless there are delays.
- Begin onboarding Mid to late March unless delays.
- Finish by trial by Mid to late June unless delays or extension
- Reach back out by 07/01/26 to extend full time contract if everything works out.
We are looking for finished manga pages, character designs, anything that can show range and applicable styles.
