Webtoon Story Writer – Boys Love (BL)

Join Mirai Toon, a creative start-up founded by ex-Googlers, and help craft heartfelt, unforgettable Boys Love (BL) Webtoon stories for a global audience.

We are building original Webtoon series for readers in Japan, the US, and Western markets, and we’re looking for a story writer who genuinely loves BL—someone who understands emotional depth, slow-burn romance, and character-driven storytelling.

What You’ll Do

• Write engaging BL Webtoon stories with strong emotional arcs
• Develop compelling characters, relationships, and conflicts
• Create episode outlines, scripts, and dialogue suitable for visual storytelling
• Collaborate closely with artists and editors to align story and visuals
• Revise and refine scripts based on feedback while maintaining story quality
• Help shape long-term story direction and character development

You’re Perfect If You:

• Genuinely love Boys Love (BL) stories and understand the genre deeply
• Can write emotionally rich romance with natural, impactful dialogue
• Understand pacing for episodic / serialized Webtoon formats
• Enjoy character-driven storytelling and slow-burn relationships
• Are open to collaboration and constructive feedback
• Have sample writing or published work to share (Webtoon, scripts, novels, or short stories)
