Job Description
I’m looking for a Manga Artist to complete a set of 10 comic pages for a pitch package. The page rate is $200/page, so $2000 in total. The ideal candidate should have some industry experience and a vivid, unique style that is polished enough to be competitive in the Japanese market. You also won’t have to wait around for the script, it’s already completed and locked, so we can get started at your earliest convenience.
The story is set in a western fantasy world that pays homage to the legacy of Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and other settings in that vein, so having a good understanding of the genre and creature design is a plus. Stylistically, the piece is close to something from Kodansha, so more Seinen than Shonen, but also utilizes quite a bit of inspiration from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, so it will have a somewhat unserious element to it.
I feel that this should be self-evident, but candidates who submit A.I. generated images will not be considered.
What I'm looking for:
- Fluent in English
- A strong manga style
- Ability to draw in other mediums (I.e., charcoal, watercolor, etc)
- Good with creatures
- Good with backgrounds
- Able to deliver great work on time
Pluses:
- Fluency in Japanese
