Team Lead, English Translation (Webtoon)

Lead Kiwi Vine’s English Webtoon Translation Team — overseeing team operations, ensuring quality, and managing select hands-on translation and editing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage and guide the English Translation (Webtoon) team, making informed decisions aligned with the company’s creative and business goals.
• Process & Talent Development: Optimize team workflows and develop team members’ professional growth to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Project Management: Plan and monitor project timelines, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high-quality standards across diverse webtoon titles.
• Quality Control (QC): Review and refine localized webtoon content, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural authenticity, and a seamless reader experience.
• Communication: Understand client needs and collaborate effectively with freelance translators, editors, and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding results.

Basic Requirements

• Excellent English proficiency (English language/literature majors or holders of official English test scores preferred).
• Extensive Korean>English translation experience (minimum 3+ years).
• Strong communication and leadership skills: able to understand business direction and serve as a bridge between management and team members.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities: adaptable to changing priorities and unexpected challenges.
• Goal-oriented mindset: motivated to set, pursue, and achieve ambitious team and personal goals.
• Outstanding linguistic sensibility in both English and Korean.
• Applicants with proven team leadership experience in any creative or language-related field, even outside of webtoons, are also encouraged to apply.
