Position Objective

This is a temporary position that is responsible for the coordination and management of all aspects of international licensing of Dark Horse controlled or represented properties (as allowable by contract or ownership). This position supports the licensing team by assisting and responding to internal and external requests regarding international licensing and providing direct support to the International Licensing Manager, Senior Director of Licensing, and VP of Business Development.

Primary responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

  • Tracking submissions and sending review materials, final files, and finished books.
  • Preparing work order documents internally for file transfers to existing partners.
  • Answering questions from publishers and licensors about publication schedules, printing specifications, and file availability
  • Building and maintaining trust and rapport with various industry professionals (publishers, agents, studios, creators, internal staff)
  • General office administrative support to team.
  • Any other relevant duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

Education:

  • Associates or equivalent experience.

Requirements:

  • Talent for prioritizing, organizing, and multi-tasking to meet deadlines
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • A strong desire to collaborate, share, listen, and learn
  • Flexibility to work well in an office team setting as well as independently on your own (working from home)
  • A natural ability to build and maintain trust and rapport with various industry professionals (e.g.; publishers, agents, licensors, creators, staff)
  • Familiarity with Mac OS and Microsoft office

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with publishing, licensing or legal environments and terminology
  • Knowledge of any of the following: comics industry, book publishing, toy/collectible industry
  • An interest in popular culture, including comics, manga, TV/movies, video games, etc.
