Japanese-to-Swedish and Japanese-to-Hungarian Manga Translators / Post-Editors

Mantra is seeking freelance Japanese-to-Swedish and Japanese-to-Hungarian translators / post-editors for a major manga localization project with a leading Japanese publisher.

Project Details:

• Language pairs: Japanese → Swedish / Hungarian
• Tasks: Translation, post-editing, quality checking, and basic typesetting of manga content
• Position type: Remote freelance (no need to reside in Japan)

Who We’re Looking For:

• Native-level fluency in Swedish or Hungarian
• Japanese proficiency (JLPT N2 or equivalent)
• Experience in Japanese-to-Swedish or Japanese-to-Hungarian translation—especially in manga, video games, light novels, or other entertainment content
• Strong communication skills, openness to feedback, and commitment to meeting deadlines
