Editorial Intern (Korean Bilingual Required)

Job Description
Our Editorial department is seeking a three-month intern to help manage our growing list of manga, manhwa, and graphic novels. The position is part-time (28 hours per week) and offers an hourly wage. Korean language skills are a must. Commute to the Manhattan office will be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter Editorial and Copyediting changes into InDesign files
- Download/upload data and sort them accordingly
- Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to: photocopying, scanning, maintaining library, sorting mail, filing, directing/responding to phone calls, etc.
- Write and correct back cover and catalog copy
- Contribute to Editorial passes on pending manuscripts
- Traffic editorial projects through Production and Copyediting
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Passion and interest in manhwa, manga, and graphic novels required
- Korean language proficiency required
- Solid computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Adobe Suite (particularly InDesign) strongly preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Keen eye for detail with a strong desire to learn and improve
- An ability to attend to details and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent writing ability with a polished ear for dialogue
- Bachelor’s degree in English preferred
- Polished communication and interpersonal skills
