About Tapas Entertainment:

Tapas Entertainment, Inc. is a leading digital publisher and entertainment platform for webcomics, web novels, and original IP development. We are passionate about storytelling and bringing engaging content to global audiences.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Social Media & Publicity Associate to join our team. This role will support the growth and engagement of our social media platforms while driving publicity efforts for Tapas Originals and K-Comics. If you're a pop culture enthusiast with a deep passion for webcomics and a keen understanding of social media and digital marketing, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Marketing: Plan and execute social media strategies, write engaging content, create visuals, monitor comments, and report on performance metrics.
  • Team Coordination: Work with Kakao Entertainment (KKE) and Tapas Entertainment, Inc. (TEI) social media teams to ensure cohesive scheduling and publishing of posts.
  • Design and Copywriting: Oversee the creation of visual content and craft compelling copy for social media posts to enhance engagement.
  • Artist/Author Interviews: Conduct and optimize on-camera and email interviews for social media, ensuring engaging content across platforms.
  • Publicity Outreach: Create and manage email lists, write and edit pitch letters, and reach out to media contacts to secure reviews and coverage for both K-Comics and Tapas Originals titles.
  • Video Content Creation: Edit and create short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) and assist in coaching team members for on-camera appearances.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field; recent graduates or graduating seniors (preferred).
  • Passion for webcomics—particularly Korean and Chinese webcomics—is essential.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Canva, Dropbox, or similar design/content tools.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Suite, Slack, Monday.com, and Basecamp (preferred).
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with a keen eye for engaging digital content.
  • Solid understanding of social media marketing, digital engagement strategies, and audience growth.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual in Korean (preferred but not required).
  • Deep knowledge of pop culture, internet trends, and social media dynamics—you know what’s trending and how to leverage it!
