Proofreaders (Novels)

Job Description

Copy edit, proofread, or clean read Japanese novels, Chinese danmei novels, and other novel-related content prior to publication by Seven Seas.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with The Chicago Manual of Style.
• Willingness to become familiar with our house style guidelines and copy edit according to those stipulations.
• Willingness to format corrections according to our guidelines.
• Very strong grasp of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Internet access with sufficient bandwidth to receive large work files.
• A love of novels, and ideally familiar with English-translated novels like light novels and danmei.

All applicants will be required to do a Seven Seas copy editing test to ensure house style can be followed
