Responsibilities
- Checking that translations match the original English and/or Korean text
- Correcting spelling and grammar errors
- Correcting any continuity issues (character, conversation, style, and so on)
- Editing any awkward or overly literal French/German translations
- Using Photoshop to work directly with files and text
- Adhering to Tappytoon's quality, style, continuity, and content guidelines
Basic Qualifications
- Native French/German speaker with excellent writing skills
- Fluency in English in order to understand the original text
- Strong understanding of comics, manhwa, manga, and related Korean pop culture
- General basic IT skills (Google suite)
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment
- Comfortable with a fast-paced deadline-oriented workflow
Preferred Qualifications
- Language, Literature, Writing or related college degree or work experience
- Basic knowledge of the Korean language
- Basic Photoshop skills
- Previous writing, translation, or editing experience in a creative field (business writing is less important to us)
- Previous experience of translating, proofreading, editing manhwa/manga (Korean or English to French/German)
- Understanding of Mature and LGBT+, BL/GL materials
- F series visas or student visas preferred
